Audacious Duo Yacht Charters
Privacy Policy
Last updated 24 September 2026
Audacious Duo Yacht Charters ("we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. By using our website at audaciousduo.com.au or booking a charter or tuition with us, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
- Contact details: your name, email address and phone number when you send an enquiry, book a charter or tuition, or contact us by phone or email.
- Booking information: your preferred dates, occasion, number of guests, catering and dietary requirements, and any special requests.
- Payment information: we invoice for charters and tuition and accept payment by bank transfer and credit card through Square. We do not collect or store card details on our website.
- Feedback: reviews, testimonials or comments you choose to give us.
- Website data: our website does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. The enquiry form uses Cloudflare bot protection, which may set a short-lived cookie to confirm you are a person.
We collect this information directly from you through our website enquiry form, email, phone, or in person aboard Audacious Duo.
2. How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and to arrange, confirm and deliver your charter or tuition.
- To coordinate catering and dietary requirements for your day on the water.
- To meet our safety and record-keeping obligations as a commercial vessel operator and as a business.
- To send you occasional news or offers, only if you have asked us to. You can opt out at any time.
We only use your information for the purpose it was collected, or for a related purpose you would reasonably expect.
3. How we store and protect it
- Enquiries sent through our website are stored securely and are accessible only to Steve Clark and Tina Connell-Clark.
- Data sent through our website is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
- We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires.
- If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify the affected people and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
4. Sharing your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share the minimum necessary with:
- Catering suppliers, to prepare food for your charter (for example your guest count and dietary requirements, never your contact details unless you ask us to pass them on).
- Service providers that host our website and enquiry form.
- Authorities, where the law requires it or to protect the safety of guests, crew or the vessel.
5. Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles you may ask us to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, and you may unsubscribe from any marketing at any time. If you believe we have mishandled your information, please contact us first and we will respond promptly. You may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
6. Overseas transfers
We operate in Australia and store information locally where we can. Some of the services that host our website may store data overseas. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is protected to Australian standards.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with the date at the top.
